Overview
Instead of spending time building dashboards, you can simply ask a question in natural language, like:
“What were my top-selling categories this month?”
Tightly will instantly generate an interactive chart that visualizes your answer.
The goal is to help you uncover insights about your demand, replenishment, sales, categories, suppliers, and overall performance, quickly, visually, and without any technical setup.
Core Concept
Tightly Analytics has two main views:
🗣️ Chat View — where you ask questions and generate new charts.
📈 Dashboard View — where you view, manage, and update saved charts.
You can easily switch between them using the “New Insight” and “View Dashboard” buttons.
Chat View - Ask Questions and Create Charts
This is where every analysis begins.
The Chat View looks and feels like a conversation, you type a question, and Tightly responds with a chart.
🔹 How to Use Chat View
Open Tightly Analytics from the main navigation bar.
You’ll land on the Tightly Analytics Dashboard.
Click "New Insight". You'll be redirected to chat view.
In the chat box, either:
Type your own question, or
Choose a preset suggestion (like “Last year sales on my bar chart”).
Hit Enter to submit.
Tightly will:
Interpret your question,
Retrieve your business data,
Generate a chart that answers your query.
Each chart is created automatically, you don’t need to choose chart types or columns.
Chart Interaction
After Tightly creates a chart, you can interact with it just like a dashboard widget.
🔹 Actions You Can Take
🖱️ Save to Dashboard, keep this chart for later on your personal dashboard.
📝 Edit Chart, change the title or description of the chart.
Updating Chart Data
Charts do not update automatically over time.
If you want the chart to show the most recent data:
Click “Update Insight” on any saved chart.
Tightly will reload the chart using your current business data.
If you don’t update it, the chart will keep showing the data from when it was originally created.
Dashboard View — Manage All Your Charts
The Dashboard View is your personal space to review and manage all charts you’ve saved from the Chat View.
🔹 How to Access the Dashboard
Click “View Dashboard” from the Chat View or any chart view.
You’ll see a grid of all your saved charts.
Each chart card includes:
Chart Title
Description
Quick-action buttons:
View Full Screen
Edit (available in full view)
Update Insight
Delete
To create a new chart from here, click “New Chart”, it takes you back to the Chat View.
🧭 Best Practices
Use simple, specific questions. (e.g., “Show me total sales by supplier this month.”)
Save charts you’ll revisit often, like sales trends or category performance.
Update charts regularly to refresh them with current data.
Delete old charts you don’t need, keep your dashboard tidy.
Use descriptive titles and notes to remember what each chart represents.
💬 FAQs
Q: Can I combine multiple questions in one prompt?
Not yet. Each prompt currently creates one chart. Multi-question comparisons will come in a future version.
Q: Can I change the chart type?
Not manually. Tightly selects the best chart type based on your questio, like bar, pie, or line chart.
Q: Will the data update automatically?
No. Click Update Insight anytime to refresh the chart with current data.
Q: Can I edit the chart’s data source?
No, data sources are fixed based on your account data. You can edit the chart title and description only.
Q: Is my data shared with others?
Charts are saved at organization level, it means your teammates can view the charts when they visit Analytics page as well.
