Once your team has physically finished assembling the products, you must update the status in Tightly to close the loop.

Location: Open an In Production Manufacturing Order.

1. Marking as Completed

When production is finished, click the Completed button on the order status timeline.

The system will ask for a final confirmation.

2. Important: Inventory Updates

Does Tightly increase my stock automatically? No.

When you confirm completion, Tightly assumes you have already physically received the finished goods into your warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP.

  • Tightly's Role: Tightly manages the plan and the raw material consumption.

  • Your Role: You must scan or enter the finished goods into your warehouse system to make them available for sale.

Why is it this way? This prevents double-counting inventory if your warehouse staff scans items as they come off the production line.

3. How Raw Materials are Handled (Critical)

It is important to understand exactly what happens to your raw material numbers when you click Complete.

  • Does Tightly deduct raw materials from stock? No. Tightly does not reduce the inventory count of your raw materials.

  • What does Tightly do? Tightly simply releases the allocation. Since the production is finished, the system assumes you have already physically used these materials and updated your warehouse stock levels accordingly. Therefore, it stops "holding" (reserving) them in the allocation column.

Example:

  • Start: You have 100 meters of fabric. Tightly allocates 20 for the order.

  • During Production: Your team uses 20 meters and records this in your warehouse system. Your real stock is now 80.

  • Completion: You click Complete in Tightly. Tightly releases the allocation (sets it to 0). It now sees the available stock is 80 (synced from your warehouse system).

4. Post-Production Transfers

Sometimes, you produce items in a central "Factory" warehouse (Warehouse M), but the demand was for a retail location (Warehouse A).

If your Recommended Warehouse is different from your Manufacturing Warehouse:

  1. After completing the MO, look for the Draft Transfer Order button on top of the Manufacturing Order Page.

  2. Clicking this creates a transfer to move the finished goods from the factory to the destination warehouse.

  3. This completes the cycle: Produce β†’ Transfer β†’ Sell.
