In Tightly, managed products are actively tracked and included in inventory logic like replenishment recommendations, demand planning, and InStock policies. If a product is unmanaged, it’s ignored in all purchasing workflows.
You can mark products or variants as unmanaged from the Inventory page or directly from the product and variant detail pages - without needing to open any edit forms.
Option 1: From the Inventory Table (Bulk)
Go to Manage > Inventory.
Select one or more products or variants using the checkboxes.
Once selected, the Quick Actions bar will appear. Click Edit Selected Products.
Select Managed to disable inventory management for those items. Make sure the managed toggle is off.
You can re-enable management at any time using the same workflow. You just need to switch toggle on.
Option 2: From the Product Page
Open any Product Page.
At the product information card, you’ll see a “Tightly Managed” toggle.
Switch the toggle off to mark all variants under that product as unmanaged.
This change applies instantly to all variants, without needing to click Edit Product.
Option 3: From the Variant Page
Open any Variant Page.
You’ll see a “Tightly Managed” toggle at the top.
Switch the toggle on or off to manage that specific variant independently.
This is helpful when you want to keep some variants managed while excluding others under the same product.
Notes
A product-level toggle affects all variants under that product.
A variant-level toggle allows you to override the product setting for that specific SKU.
You do not need to click Edit Product or Edit Variant — the toggle is always directly accessible.
