Suppliers

Updated this week

The Suppliers section in Tightly is your central source of truth for managing vendor data — from lead times and MOQs to currencies and communication.

Overview

Tightly’s Suppliers module helps you organize and manage all the key details related to your vendors. This data powers smarter replenishment, automated PO creation, delivery forecasting, and backorder logic across the platform.

Keeping supplier info up to date ensures accurate lead times, clean purchase orders, and reliable inventory tracking.

With the Suppliers module, you can:

  • Add and manage supplier profiles across your product catalog.

  • Set minimum order values (MOV), lead times, and currencies per supplier.

  • Identify missing fields that could impact order workflows.

  • Keep supplier data clean and synced across your team.

  • Use supplier rules in Smart Replenishment and Tightly InStock policies.

How It Works

What is the Suppliers module?

Every product in Tightly is linked to a supplier — and the quality of that supplier’s data directly affects forecasting, purchase order logic, and stock availability.

The Suppliers page is where you maintain all vendor-level info, including:

  • Supplier Name

  • City, Country

  • Currency

  • Minimum Order Value (MOV)

  • Lead Time (in days)

1. Add or Edit Suppliers

To add a new supplier:

  • Click Create New Supplier (top left).

  • Fill in supplier name, contact details, country, currency, MOV, and typical lead time.

  • Save, and link SKUs to this supplier via the Products section or directly when editing POs.

To edit an existing supplier:

  • Click into the supplier row.

  • Update fields like lead time or MOV as needed.

  • These changes will reflect across any associated SKUs or POs.

2. Filter and Search Suppliers

The left-hand filter panel lets you:

  • Filter by supplier name or status.

  • View only suppliers with Missing Fields — helping you clean up incomplete data that could block POs or disrupt delivery estimates.

  • Sort by lead time, currency, or MOV to compare vendors.

The top search bar helps you locate a specific supplier instantly.

3. Supplier Sync and Status Checks

  • Click the Supplier Sync button to refresh any changes or updates.

  • This ensures that changes made to products or POs reflect back here, and vice versa.

  • Incomplete supplier profiles are marked with a red dot under Missing Fields — helping you stay organized.

4. Why Supplier Info Matters

Accurate supplier data is essential for:

  • Smart Replenishment: Correct lead times = smarter ordering decisions.

  • Tightly InStock: Delivery estimates power backorder logic.

  • PO Creation: MOV and lead time are used when batching products into POs.

  • Cash Flow Planning: Currency and MOQ data impact financial reporting and budget forecasts.

Using the Suppliers Page

Access Suppliers

  • Log into Tightly.

Step 1: Review Your Supplier List

  • Scan your supplier table for missing data or inconsistencies.

  • Use the Missing Fields filter to clean up incomplete profiles.

Step 2: Add or Update Suppliers

  • Click Create New Supplier to add a new vendor.

  • Or click an existing supplier to open and edit their information.

Step 3: Ensure Data Completeness

  • Fill in key fields: Currency, Lead Time, MOV, and Country.

  • This data powers many downstream features like PO rules and backordering logic.

Step 4: Sync and Maintain

  • Use Supplier Sync to ensure your supplier data stays aligned with your products and inventory logic.

  • Keep data up to date to avoid ordering errors, delays, or broken replenishment flows.

Bottom Line:

The Suppliers module is more than a contact list — it’s the foundation of accurate ordering, forecasting, and fulfillment inside Tightly.

Clean supplier data helps your business move faster, communicate better, and automate smarter.
