The Default Supplier in Tightly determines which supplier is used for replenishment logic — including lead time, MOQ, and batch size — for a specific product or variant. You can update this field in a few different ways depending on how many products you want to manage at once.
Option 1: Assign or Change via Quick Actions (Bulk)
Go to the Inventory page from the left-hand menu.
Stay on the Products tab.
Use the filters or search bar to find the products/variants you want to update.
Select one or more rows using the checkboxes on the left.
The Quick Actions bar will appear above the table.
Click Edit Selected Products.
In the modal:
Choose Supplier as the field to update.
Select the desired supplier from the dropdown.
Click Apply Changes.
The selected supplier will be set as the default immediately for all selected items.
Tip: This is the fastest way to assign or replace a supplier for multiple products at once.
Option 2: Edit Directly in the Table
Locate the product or variant in the table.
Double-click the Default Supplier cell.
Choose a supplier from the dropdown.
Click the Save Changes button at the top of the table.
Changes are saved instantly and update any logic (e.g. replenishment, PO creation) tied to the supplier.
Tip: To edit the Default Supplier directly from the Inventory table using double-click, make sure the table is not grouped by product.
When grouped, individual variant rows are hidden under the product, and inline edits (like supplier changes) are disabled.
To make inline edits, switch to an ungrouped view so you can interact with each variant row directly.
Notes
The default supplier determines which supplier’s lead time, MOQ, and batch size are used during replenishment and PO creation.
A product or variant must have a default supplier and unit cost assigned to be eligible to be recommended by Tightly as a replenishment recommendation.
You can assign a different supplier per variant, even under the same product.
