When you start using Tightly, one of the first things you might want to do is create your suppliers and link products to them. This ensures your replenishment, budgeting, and supplier management tools work seamlessly from day one.

Step 1: Go to the Suppliers Page

  1. From the left-hand menu, click Suppliers.

  2. Click the Create New Supplier button.

Step 2: Fill in Supplier Details

  1. In the Create New Supplier form, enter:

    • Supplier Name (required)

    • Supplier Details

    • Contact information with the domain.

    • Supplier lead time and Minimum Order Value.

  2. Click Create Supplier.

Step 3: Add Products to the Supplier’s Product Catalog

Once your supplier is created:

  1. Back on the Suppliers table, find your supplier.

  2. Click the supplier name to open the supplier’s page.

  3. Scroll to the Product Catalog section (it’ll be empty if this is new).

  4. Click Add to Catalog.

  5. In the modal, you’ll see all existing products (and variants).

    1. Use search/filters if needed.

    2. Select items with the checkboxes.

  6. Click Add Selected Products.

✅ The selected products are now in this supplier’s catalog.

Step 4: Set Supplier-Specific Details (Optional)

After adding products, you can edit supplier-specific values such as:

  • Unit Cost

  • Lead Time

  • Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)

  • Batch Size

All you need to do is to double click on the cell you want to edit, type the value and when you're done, click Save Changes button.

These values apply only when purchasing from that supplier.

✅ Done!

Your supplier is now created and linked to the right products. These products can now be set as having this supplier as their default supplier in the Inventory page, ensuring Tightly uses the correct supplier logic for replenishment and purchase orders.

Tips & Links

  • Want Tightly to use this supplier by default for a product? See: Assign or Change the Default Supplier.

  • If you don’t see any products in the modal, create products first (or sync from Shopify), then return.
